BFBC2 Server Crashes

Yeah, im wondering if there isnt a hardware issue with our server? I have noticed, that our server is fine when it ramps up, if it hits 32 man for a certain length of time it crashes, it then will continue to crash if you try to fill it back up.

Sounds like over-heating? Sunday morning we had that server full in 20 minutes, was jam packed, lasted for about 45 minutes then crashed.. Got it back up to 16 then crash again.. Annoying as hell.

you could be onto something, maybe the GSP's aren't entirely up to snuff on the new software with their hardware, there feels like a pattern to the crashes and it gets real annoying, EA GS someone better get their shit together

From GS
"DICE has requested that all server providers hold off on creating new servers while they work on an issue that is causing heavy server load due to the large number of servers currently running. A fix is in development to prevent the server browser from causing the heavy server load and new servers will be able to be setup and launched as soon as possible. Please note that while there is a delay in activating your server, your billing start date will only start once your server has been activated"

Well, my theory on the heat issue.

If you are set to a fixed price, how to you over come fixed slot prices?

More Servers in a room, and turning off the cooling to the room to save on the electric bill!

I don't think they would go that far, why would they fry their own crap they would have to replace, I'll agree probably more servers in a room than should be but I couldn't see them turning off the AC the room would spike in minutes

If you go to gametracker.com and look at all the "top-ranked" BFBC2 servers, you'll notice that 99% of them are as erratic as ours, with all sorts of varying downtime.

Wasn't this a similar issue with another game? Weren't the COD servers haveing similar issues when it first came out? I could be wrong, but when a game is really popular and large amount of volume comes sporatically the server has trouble doing so. Things will work out. People just have to be patient. I know you gotta get your levels fast so your not behind. Heck, I dont' even have the game yet, so ill be 1 when you all will bel ike 30+ or whatever the cap is haha.
