This is not just about PC gamers, this is a story about an evil corporation (see interview with CEO below) ignoring their customers and releasing an inferior product. Just over 2 weeks before release and no video or anything to show IW.net

Don't beleive the snow job. If what they say is true then why can't they prove it and demo it?

Basically all current PC Gamers are Elitist Clanners, Cheats, and Nerds and we will will replace you with plenty of noobs who will like our Xbox live like matchmaking system. P2P is great advancement for PC Gaming. Oh and Excuse me while I spit in your face and insult your intelligence some more. Also thanks for the $100 Million(2m copies)you PC guys and gals gave us for COD4 and all the money for CODs 1-5, Sucker. Now go buy a console because that is better that is why we are trying to make the PC like it.

IW Moderator Foxhound has assured me that this thread will not be deleted. Please voice your opinion but obey the forum rules. This is the second **official** petition. We had over 250 pages of signatures on the original before the thread was deleted by IW Mods.

Today (10/17) Infinity Ward drove a heart thru Call of Duty lovers and PC Gamers everywhere when it was announced that there would be no dedicated servers or mod tools on Modern Warfare 2 for the PC version. After barely mentioning or promoting the PC version at all they broke their silence and informed us that they have "dumbed down" the PC experience and made it similar to xbox live. They have taken away many of the features we have come to expect and basically given us a console port that doesn't take advantage of the power and features of the PC Platform. What they may not realize is that this could well mean the end for Call of Duty Modders, Game Server Companies, the Competitive Community and the tight knit Clan System that has defined the PC community that most of us are a part of for many years. EA and others have tried similar things and failed miserably.

This petition is to let IW /Activision know that we PC gamers are a force to be reckoned with. Many of us also have consoles or consoles for our kids but we feel the best experience is with the PC with the features we have come to expect from FPS games and the Call of Duty Series. Putting these things we need will cost very little and will generate goodwill and maximize their sales. Hopefully they will see the benefits of keeping their PC consumers and customers happy.

This news is a giant leap backwards. It was PC gamers that made Call of Duty and Infinity Ward what it is today. It seems that there is not a champion at IW who knows what the PC experience should be and that is disheartening. Many innovations in the game today originally came from modders such as *PST*Joker and many others. Making the console version as feature rich as PC has made console games what they are. It used to be innovations came to the PC version and then they figured out how to put it in for the consoles. Console gamers are losing out here as well big time. If it weren't for PC COD would be single player console (cod 3?)game with no replayability. Its ironic that console players had a petition to get dedicated servers as some know its a better experience.

We are willing to delay the game or take a patch but please assure us that these features will be in the game. Please sign this post and let IW know how you feel by canceling your preorder.

**Day 2 Update** Just a day after the news was broken The Gaming Community has spoken

Ventrillo, IRC and Xfire chatrooms everywhere have been filled
Forum posts everywhere have been made, Twitters sent, Petitions started and signed, Articles written, Websites made, Podcasts broadcasted, You Tube Videos Created and best of all thousands of preorders have been canceled.

It is amazing how much has been done yet there is still more to do.
